Evolved Medieval Mansion (25,000 sqft)

This fine home, designed in an English Manor House style with French/Italian influences is constructed using Indiana limestone under a French clay tiled roof with green oak ceilings.

A port cochere gives access to the foyer, and internally comprises on the ground floor a foyer, sitting room, living/kitchen,  butler’s pantry, library, dining room and study.  On the lower ground floor there are 3 guest bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms, underground passage to swimming pool and garage, several basement rooms. On the first floor is master suite approximately 3,000 sqft which comprises bedroom, sitting area, en-suite bathroom and dressing rooms. There is a three storey central elevator which leads to basement and bedroom areas and the lower basement cantina which is used for storage of meat and cheese.  The tower consists of an office, bedroom and chapel with walk-out to the tower top.  All of the green oak ceilings were formed in Somerset (England) and shipped and re-erected.  Cathedral Stone Masons from England were employed to instruct on stone carving techniques.  The garage doors were copied by special permission from Balmoral Castle’s Port Cochere.

The property stands in approximately 100 acres of formal gardens and lakes and 350 acres of wetlands.
